In a confused political world, where do you stand? Do you even remember? I'm not sure I do, so I welcome the assistance of teh interweb to help me...

Let www.politicalcompass.org ask you a few questions and help you focus on what you really believe in!
ReplyDeleteThe results are in, I'm Economic Left/Right: -5.88and Authoritarian/Libertarian: -3.59. That apparently puts me on the same spot on the political radar as Ken Livingstone. God help me!Although I do share my lefty anarchic sector with Ghandi, so at least I'm in reasonable company. Up the reds!
Hmm, I got Economic Left/Right: -2.75 and tarian/Libertarian: -2.51. Which I suppose makes me a moderate libertarian lefty. Same quadrant as you and roughly as 'libertarian' as you but much less of the raving communist streak you've obviously been hiding. This is a bit of a surprise for me really. The libertarian, not, but I didn't really consider myself a lefty. I guess I'm just keenly aware of the particular right-wing views I have but on the whole most of my responses were obviously quite left-biased. Very interesting!
ReplyDeleteEconomic Left/Right: -1.88Authoritarian/Libertarian: -3.23
ReplyDeleteMakes me the same as robin cook
If anyone cares
Economic Left/Right: -1.00 and Authoritarian/Libertarian: -1.64. Guess I don't really give a monkeys.
ReplyDeleteEconomic Left/Right: -5.12
ReplyDeleteAuthoritarian/Libertarian: -4.15
Par for the course for student scum, I suppose. Was quite amused by the page on religion - I put 'Strongly disagree' to every single question.
I got:Economic Left/Right: -2.12 Authoritarian/Libertarian: -3.90
ReplyDeletethat seems to put me in the same sort of area as Charles Kennedy.
Economic Left/Right: -3.00Authoritarian/Libertarian: -4.36
ReplyDeleteHeh, not particularly far left of Mat on the economic scale! That said I think the test is a bit biased towards economic left; some of the questions about corporates and the environment or whether globalisation should benefit companies or people are astonishingly loaded. That said, perhaps I only view them as such because I'm a bit left-leaning...
I'm naturally pretty libertarian, I knew that much. My thoughts on religion, sex and personal privacy pretty much have that aspect of my politics sewn up.
I want to see Afty's results :)
Economic Left/Right: -5.88, Authoritarian/Libertarian: 0.82. As far left as Tony Benn but as Liberal as Robin Cook. So here's a tip for the course accountant "layoffsecretaries"
ReplyDeleteIt only goes to -10 :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe he'll be able to whack it up to -11 then.
ReplyDelete-2.0 / -4.26. (Nothern accent) I'm with you brothers (/Northern accent)
